State of the River - Clear Creek

1st Annual Clear Creek State of the River discussion on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 6 p.m. in the Golden Community Center.

On May 19, 2020, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., the City of Golden will host the 1st Annual State of the River discussion at the Golden Community Center. All water users, water providers, irrigators, and reservoir and river enthusiasts are encouraged to attend!

The key issue is Golden's water supply outlook. In addition to City of Golden staff, the discussion will include the District 7 Water Commissioner, a Colorado state engineer from the Division of Water Resources, a representative from the City of Westminster, and other representatives specializing in different aspects of water management and conservation.

Other topics that will be covered during the discussion include watershed protection, Interstate river compacts that affect Golden, the administration of Clear Creek, climate change consequences on our water supply, and conservation and efficiency.

Before the event takes place, we want to hear from you. What would you like to learn about such topics as water supply and operations or our drought plan?
