The Planning Division works with citizens and businesses to ensure that land use complies with the City of Golden zoning regulations. The division coordinates with the Planning Commission to process and review site plans and subdivision plats, and to approve land use and rezoning.

The Golden Planning Department has a number of projects happening at any given time. When official applications are received, a case number is assigned to the proposed development and posted on this page. Follow cases here and know what's upcoming at the Historic Preservation Board and Planning Commission Hearings! We'll let you know when meetings are coming up and how you can have your say. In addition to posting cases on this page, Planning staff provide public notification for every case, for example, site plan review hearings at Planning Commission require notification which includes a letter to homeowners within a 500 square foot radius, a notice in the Golden Transcript, and posting on the subject property in advance of the hearing.
