Development projects are reviewed under Title 18 of the Municipal Code. Specifically, projects within the City's form zones are reviewed under Chapter 18.29 and Chapter 18.40.

The Planning Department works with residents and businesses to ensure that land use complies with the City of Golden zoning regulations. The department coordinates with the Planning Commission to process and review site plans and subdivision plats, and to approve land use and rezoning.

      • Reduce the requirements of 18.29.03.013.2.b for minimum lot frontage of the common court, minimum landscaping, and minimum area as applicable.

    The Golden City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday October 22, 2024 at 6:30 P.M. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 911 10th Street, Golden, Colorado to consider a final plat and subdivision development agreement for 3.68 acres to allow for redevelopment. Platting ensures that proper easements and dedications occur for utilities and that the various deeded parcels are merged into a single legal lot of record. The subdivision development agreement details all public improvements for utilities, sidewalks and landscaping to be completed for the redevelopment.

    The meeting was held on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

    The intent of a neighborhood meeting is for an opportunity to provide comments and input on a project to help it fit into the Golden context before a formal application for development to the City. The neighborhood meeting is hosted by the potential applicant; however, city staff attends to observe and answer questions regarding the process.
