Welcome to the Golden Parks & Recreation Master Plan & Open Space Master Plan project page.

The City of Golden is moving forward with two important initiatives: the Parks & Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) and Open Space Master Plan (OSMP) Phase Two. These plans will guide the future care, development, and preservation of Golden’s parks, recreation facilities, and open spaces—ensuring they meet community needs, protect natural resources, and expand access for all.

On July 23, City Council formally adopted the OSMP Phase Two draft. Work on the PRMP continues, and the draft will be available for public review and comment from September 11 through September 23.. Following review and revisions, City Council is scheduled to consider adoption on October 28.

Thank you for your continued interest and participation in shaping the future of Golden’s parks, recreation, and open spaces. We encourage you to review the PRMP draft and share your feedback once the public comment period opens.
