Creating and Updating Two Master Plans

The City of Golden is moving forward with two important initiatives: the Parks & Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) and Open Space Master Plan (OSMP) Phase Two. These plans will guide the future care, development, and preservation of Golden’s parks, recreation facilities, and open spaces—ensuring they meet community needs, protect natural resources, and expand access for all.

  • July 23, 2025: City Council formally adopted the OSMP Phase Two draft.
  • Nov. 25, 2025: City Council is scheduled to consider adoption of the PRMP.
