For years, the City of Golden has offered movie-lovers the Movies & Music in the Park series. Last year, that tradition took a left turn due to the pandemic and the movie series turned into a drive-in instead. This year, barring any further unforeseen events, we're headed back to the park! The free series will once again run Friday nights in August at Parfet Park located at 10th Street and Washington Avenue in downtown Golden.
The series features free music and a family-friendly movie the final three Friday nights in August. Bands begin performing at 7 p.m. and the featured movie of the night begins at dusk, around 8:30 p.m. The movies are shown on a giant inflatable screen under the stars.
And the winner is....Raiders of the Lost Ark!
The lineup for 2021 Movies & Music in the Park will be as follows:
August 13 – Movie: Toy Story 4 Band: TBD
August 20 – Movie: Raiders of the Lost Ark Band: TBD
August 27 – Movies: Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker Band: Los Cheesies
