Application Type: Neighborhood Meeting held prior to Rezoning application


Project Overview

A formal application for Special Use Permit was not submitted within 90 days after the neighborhood meeting in March 2026. The applicant has revised the proposed concept to rezone the property from commercial C1 to R1/Peripheral Form Zone Overlay to allow for single-household uses and development. Rezoning applications are heard via public hearing at Planning Commission for a recommendation to City Council. City Council holds a public hearing and makes the final decision on the application.

Purpose of the Meeting: The neighborhood meeting is a required preliminary step prior to a formal application for a Rezoning associated to obtain public feedback for the applicant's consideration. There will be additional notice of public hearings IF an application is submitted when the formal public hearing is scheduled. Written comments can be sent to Planning@CityofGolden.gov and we will make sure the applicant receives your input.
